Who we are and what we do...

Nexus Multi Academy Trust developed The Bridge as a Multi-Agency Hub of excellence for 16 - 19 SEND students.

The environment and curriculum activities serve to foster personal, social, and emotional development of the students, preparing them for their next steps; whether in further education or in employment, thus supporting their aspirations and pathway to a fulfilling and exciting life in the future. It aims to showcase to employers and the community the strengths, skills, and abilities of our students. This will lead to more opportunities for our young people within the world of work, promoting positive community relations and participation.

Students from each of the Nexus Doncaster academies will be based at The Bridge.

The Bridge

Why Choose Us

The purpose of The Bridge is to develop a more coherent, social, independent, progressive offer for our students. This is achieved in a culminated way through the consolidation of existing resource strengths from across the Trust, as well as the acquisition of new resources, subsequently enabling tailored learning programmes to be delivered, as part of an overall bespoke package for young people.

The Bridge has been developed as a Multi-Agency SEND Hub of excellence serving the needs of the SEND students in the area. This includes key elements of work-based learning, personal and social development, and core skills. Going forward, The Bridge strives to maintain and further develop a strong community presence, serving the communities in the surrounding and wider Doncaster area.
